Aiming to create a society where anyone can freely participate to our society using Cybernetic Avatars (CA)*, with the goal of establishing a market for avatars and realizing an Avatar Symbiotic Society.
*A ‘remote-controlled robot’ that can be tele-operated.
The Avatar Symbiotic Society Corporate Consortium was established with the goal of creating a market for avatars, as part of the Moonshot R&D Program’s Goal 1 R&D project, ‘Realizing an Avatar Symbiotic Society Where Anyone Can Freely Participating to Society,’ aiming to create a society where anyone can perform active role without constraint using Cybernetic Avatars (CA).
ABOUT OUR CONSORTIUM
In our consortium, we provide members with a platform to discuss new service concepts using Cybernetic Avatar (CA) technology, as well as the hypotheses necessary for the realization of those services together with researchers. Additionally, we promote collaborative research with the project leaders participating in this initiative.
SUBCOMMITTEE
As preparation for future societal demonstration experiments, we are establishing subcommittees organized by industry to conduct proof of concept (PoC) for service using Cybernetic Avatar (CA) technology.
-

Education Subcommittee
We will explore the application of Cybernetic Avatar (CA) technology in educational settings for junior and senior high school students, and conduct feasibility studies toward its real-world deployment.
-

IT・INFRASTRUCTURE & URBAN DEVELOPMENT
We will discuss the application of Cybernetic Avatar (CA) technology in IT infrastructure (the underlying facilities and systems), as well as its application in actual urban facilities, and conduct examinations and demonstrations toward social implementation.
-

FACTORY AUTOMATION(FACTORY AVATAR)
We will examine how Cybernetic Avatar (CA) technology can be applied in manufacturing sites and logistics environments that underpin the national economy, and validate pathways toward its real-world deployment.
-

Healthcare Subcommittee
We discussed how cybernetic avatar (CA) technology can be utilized in healthcare settings, and examined and demonstrated its feasibility for social implementation.
