Overview
In the Moonshot R&D Program’s Goal 1 R&D project, ‘Realizing an Avatar Symbiotic Society Where Anyone Can Perform Active Role Without Constraint ‘ (Project Manager: Hiroshi Ishiguro, Professor, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University), we established the Avatar Symbiotic Society Corporate Consortium aimed at creating an avatar market to achieve a society where anyone can enjoy the life using Cybernetic Avatars (CA, or tele-operated robots).
This consortium provides members with an opportunity to introduce research outcomes related to CA obtained from this project, as well as to discuss new service concepts using CA and the necessary hypotheses for establishing those services with researchers. It also promotes collaborative research with project leaders participating in this initiative.
Membership Types
Information Members | You can receive information related to CA through newsletters and other means. |
---|---|
Subcommittee Members | You can belong to a subcommittee and participate in discussions among researchers and companies regarding service concepts using CA. |
Our Activity
- We provide information related to CA to Information Members and Subcommittee Members through events such as symposiums and the distribution of newsletters.
- As preparation for future societal demonstration experiments, we will establish subcommittees by industry as needed to conduct proof of concept (PoC) for services using CA. Subcommittee Members can participate in these subcommittees, where they will discuss the service concepts to be validated alongside researchers. Additionally, with an eye towards future societal demonstration experiments leveraging research outcomes related to CA, we will provide a platform for matching researchers with members (companies) or for matching members with one another. If concepts or experimental ideas become concrete through discussions, a separate collaborative research contract will need to be established between members and researchers (or research institutions) to advance the societal demonstration experiments.
